Crystalbrook Byron is seeking an innovative and hands-on kitchen leader to drive guest experiences through exceptional food and service in Byron Bay. You will work across a vibrant team, shaping menus and ensuring operational excellence within a luxury rainforest retreat.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with F&B and other departments, and a commitment to safety and sustainability in a premium hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern cuisine is essential.
• Proven track record in a contemporary dining setting.
• Solid knowledge of WH&S legislation and health regulations.
• Ability to maintain composure and quality under pressure.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to work a seven-day roster.
• Ambition for continued personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive guest satisfaction in service and savour exceptional flavours and food experiences.
• Foster a culture of innovation and pushing culinary boundaries.
• Provide hands-on support to junior kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with F&B Service team and all hotel departments.
• Promote and uphold WH&S in our kitchens.
• Contribute to seasonal and promotional menu development.
• Support procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food items.
