Crystalbrook Byron is seeking an accomplished Head Chef to join the culinary leadership team. As second-in-command to the Executive Chef, you will lead daily kitchen operations, inspire the brigade and uphold outstanding standards in quality, presentation and service.

You will collaborate on menus, elevate team capability and ensure dishes reflect our commitment to fresh, seasonal and sustainably sourced produce.

Qualifications

• Experience in premium hotel, resort or high-quality restaurant environments.
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal and sustainably sourced produce.
• Creative confidence and strong eye for presentation.
• Sound commercial understanding across labour, food cost and kitchen performance.
• Ability to remain calm, organized and decisive during busy service periods.
• Collaborative leadership style that brings out the best in others.
• Relevant culinary qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary direction and daily operation of the kitchen in partnership with the Executive Chef.
• Inspire, coach and develop a talented kitchen brigade.
• Bring creative flair to menu development, seasonal concepts and presentation.
• Lead service with energy, attention to detail and confidence.
• Maintain consistency, quality and exceptional culinary standards.
• Manage food costs, labour, ordering, stock control and kitchen productivity.
• Champion food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements.
• Build a collaborative kitchen culture where people feel supported and challenged.
• Step into full kitchen leadership responsibilities when required.
