Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience.

• Strong understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food.
• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering supplies.
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
• Select and train staff.
• Freeze and preserve foods.
