Job summary

A well-established café in New South Wales is seeking a capable and dependable Full-Time Brunch Chef who can bring proven kitchen experience, consistency and leadership to a busy daytime operation.

This opportunity is suited to a chef who understands the pace and standards of a professional café kitchen and can take ownership of food preparation, service and daily kitchen responsibilities. Mon-Fri 6:30am–3:00pm with room to grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience as a Chef.
• Previous café, brunch or breakfast kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong practical cooking and food preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver breakfast and brunch dishes to a consistently high professional standard.
• Take ownership of kitchen preparation and service requirements.
• Maintain consistency in flavour, quality, portioning and presentation.
• Manage kitchen operations efficiently during busy service periods.
• Complete food preparation and ensure ingredients are ready for daily service.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor kitchen organisation and maintain an efficient working environment.
• Work independently while contributing effectively to the wider kitchen team.
• Assist with training and supporting new kitchen staff.
• Provide leadership and direction during kitchen service when required.
