Job summary

Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking Intermediate and Experienced Crane Operators for major Australian projects. You will join a hands-on, safety-first team and support lifting operations across Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Renewables.

Relevant licences and solid operating experience are required. Be part of a dynamic, local team backed by a global organisation, with nine-day fortnights, flexible roster options, competitive superannuation, night penalties and weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• Must hold CO, C1, C6, C2 and CN High Risk Work licences.
• At least 12 months of crane operating experience on major projects.
• Strong safety mindset with no shortcuts and minimal risk.
• Ability to follow lift plans, site procedures and safety requirements.
• Clear communication and teamwork to support crews and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, efficient crane and lifting operations on major projects.
• Perform operating activities within qualifications and experience.
• Work with your crew to prepare and execute lifts.
• Complete pre-start checks and follow site procedures.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for Intermediate and Experienced Crane Operators who know their trade, take pride in their work and back their mates. If you bring the right tickets, a strong work ethic and a safety-first attitude, we’ll give you the opportunity to put your skills to work on major projects with an established Australian crane and lifting business.

What you’ll bring

• A current CO, C1, C6, C2, CN High Risk Work Licence
• At least twelve months’ relevant operating experience
• A strong commitment to safety, with no shortcuts and no compromises
• The ability to follow lift plans, communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• A reliable, hands-on approach and pride in the quality of your work
• Desirable: Current MC or HR driver’s licence

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting safe, efficient crane and lifting operations across major projects
• Carrying out operating activities within your qualifications, competencies and experience
• Working alongside your crew to prepare and execute lifts
• Following lift plans, site procedures and established safety requirements
• Completing pre-start checks and taking care of equipment
• Looking out for your crew, speaking up when something isn’t right and making sure everyone gets home safely
