Job summary

Freo Group is seeking Intermediate and Experienced Riggers to support crane and lifting operations on major projects across Australia. You’ll use your rigging skills, adhere to lift plans, and work with a crew focused on safety and quality.

A nine-day fortnight, flexible rosters (21:7 or 26:9), enhanced superannuation, and night/weekend penalties are offered to suit you. We encourage applicants who value safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A current RI, RA or RB High Risk Work Licence.
• At least six months’ relevant rigging experience.
• Strong commitment to safety with no shortcuts or compromises.
• Ability to follow lift plans, communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
• Reliable, hands-on approach and pride in quality of work.
• Desirable: Current MC or HR driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, efficient crane and lifting operations on major projects.
• Carry out rigging activities within your qualifications and experience.
• Work with crane operators and crew to prepare and execute lifts.
• Follow lift plans, site procedures and safety requirements.
• Complete pre-start checks and maintain equipment.
• Look out for your crew and ensure everyone goes home safely.

• Supporting safe, efficient crane and lifting operations across major projects
• Carrying out rigging activities within your qualifications, competencies and experience
• Working alongside crane operators and your crew to prepare and execute lifts
• Following lift plans, site procedures and established safety requirements
• Completing pre-start checks and taking care of equipment
• Looking out for your crew, speaking up when something isn’t right and making sure everyone gets home safely
