Job summary

Empire Cranes Pty Ltd, based in Victoria, seeks a proactive business development and sales professional to grow dry hire opportunities. You will build relationships with crane companies, contractors and project teams, visit sites to assess needs and coordinate crane mobilisations with our operations team.

The role emphasizes technical crane knowledge, clear communication and the ability to close opportunities while managing a growing sales pipeline across Victoria and nationally.

Qualifications

• Strong crane industry experience gained through sales, BD, crane operations or hire coordination.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly and build customer credibility.
• Proven track record in pursuing opportunities, negotiating and closing deals.
• Organised approach to quotations and sales pipeline management.
• Independent work within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new dry hire opportunities across Victoria and support opportunities nationally.
• Build relationships with crane companies, civil contractors, builders and project teams.
• Visit customers and sites to understand upcoming work and hire durations.
• Discuss crane specifications, load charts, configurations, radii, site access and mobilisation.
• Prepare quotes, contribute to tenders, negotiate hires and improve fleet utilisation.
• Coordinate with operations and service teams for availability and mobilisations.
• Maintain CRM records and report on opportunities, projects and feedback.
