The Public Transport Authority (PTA) seeks a Corridor Stakeholder Coordinator to unite PTA, freight operators and project teams across WA’s rail corridor. You will coordinate access for works, provide specialist land and rail advice, and drive discussions to resolve complex project and operational challenges.
Lead and empower teams in a fast-paced stakeholder environment with experience in approvals management or project coordination. Fixed-term to 31 October 2028, with potential renewal.
Every project that intersects with a freight rail corridor has a story. It might be a new piece of critical infrastructure, a major development, utility works, or a community project. Behind the scenes, someone must bring together diverse stakeholders, balance competing priorities, navigate complex approval processes and ensure the interests of the rail network are protected. As the Corridor Stakeholder Coordinator, you will play a central role in making this happen, acting as the key link between the PTA, freight rail operators, project teams and external stakeholders seeking access to the rail corridor. In this dynamic role, no two days will be the same. You may be coordinating access arrangements for works within the corridor, providing specialist advice on land and rail matters, or facilitating discussions to resolve project and operational challenges. Your ability to build strong relationships, interpret complex information and find practical solutions will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with operational, commercial and statutory requirements. This opportunity would suit an experienced people leader who thrives in complex stakeholder environments. You will have a demonstrated ability to lead, develop and empower teams, together with experience in one or more of the following areas: approvals management, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or customer-focused service delivery. Drawing on experience from transport, infrastructure, utilities, government, property, or a related sector, you will bring a collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the PTA, stakeholders and the wider community.
The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is a leader in its field, driven by a simple and powerful purpose: getting everyone there. Through constant care, education and forward thinking, we provide a world‑class network and workplace that will get everyone there. Under the PTA, Western Australia’s public transport system is the best in Australia and among the most efficient, clean and safe networks globally. With over 160 million boardings across all services during FY25/26, our buses, ferries and trains move the people of WA where they need to go. Moving millions of people requires the skill and commitment of a talented workforce, one that is fostered by a culture of inclusivity and benefits from its diversity. This is ultimately what ensures the PTA delivers on our purpose while upholding our values every step of the way.
There is currently one fixed term full-time opportunity available to 31 October 2028, with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency. Part‑time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months
