Anglicare WA is seeking a StandBy Postvention Coordinator for the Pilbara region. This part‑time (0.8 FTE) max term role is based in Karratha and ends 30 June 2027, with potential extension based on funding.
You will lead the delivery of suicide postvention support with individuals, families and groups, using trauma‑informed, culturally safe approaches. You will also train community members and build partnerships across services.
The role of StandBy Postvention Coordinator - Pilbara oversees and coordinates the professional implementation and delivery of suicide postvention support within the Pilbara region of WA. You will deliver a high quality and responsive service to individuals, couples, families and groups who have been impacted by suicide. This involves delivering culturally appropriate, person centred and trauma informed interventions including initial postvention support, psychoeducation and connections to appropriate services and supports within the community.
Liaison with the local community and building strong collaborative relationships with a range of key stakeholders to deliver a consistent, high-quality postvention service that is appropriately tailored to the needs, demographics, and cultural makeup of each community is also a big part of this role. You will be expected to develop and deliver community education in the areas of grief, loss and bereavement to build community capacity and overall raise awareness about suicide postvention.
This is a part time (30 hours per week - 0.8 FTE) max term position based in Karratha, ending 30 June 2027 (in line with the current service funding agreement) - with possibility of extension based on program funding.
Workplace location is potentially flexible within the Pilbara region.
You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year; a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.
