Job summary

Darebin City Council is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead the Council's technology operations, infrastructure and cyber security, delivering modern, resilient and secure digital services for staff and the community.

Reporting to the Chief Information & Digital Officer, you will drive operational excellence, manage vendors and contracts, and lead a high-performing technology operations team to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Senior IT Operations or Infrastructure leadership experience.
• Strong ITIL framework knowledge.
• Experience with vendors, contracts and technology investments.

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead Council's technology operations and play a pivotal role in delivering modern, resilient and secure digital services that support our staff and community.

About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Information & Digital Officer, the IT Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership, performance and continuous improvement of Council's technology operations.

You will:

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Council's technology operations, infrastructure and cloud services.
• Ensure the reliability, performance and security of enterprise technology platforms and business-critical systems.
• Lead Council's cyber security operations, including vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response and security governance.
• Manage technology risks, audit findings and compliance obligations
• Ensure IT services are responsive, reliable and aligned with agreed service levels.

About you:

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud services, networking, cyber security and service management practices.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, service providers and technology investments.
• Strong financial, risk management and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skill
