Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer – Cooling Towers to drive sales of evaporative cooling systems across Australia, based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors and end-users to identify needs and provide technical solutions while managing the full sales cycle.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years of technical sales experience in cooling towers, HVAC or related equipment, with strong thermodynamics knowledge and ability to read

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (TC) or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related field.
• Minimum 3–7+ years of technical sales experience in cooling towers or related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, water chemistry and tower performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Identify needs with engineers and end-users and close complex capital equipment sales.
• Conduct site surveys, load calculations, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals with sizing, P&IDs, specs, and ROI analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing on custom solutions.
• Present seminars/webinars and product training to engineers and contractors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts (mechanical contractors, EPC firms, OEMs).
• Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to order close.
• Provide post-sale technical support and coordinate with service teams.
• Stay current with industry codes and technologies; identify market trends.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and gross margin.
• Prepare forecasts and CRM records.
