Job summary

Trane Technologies in Western Australia is hiring an Equipment Sales Engineer to develop long-term customer relationships and maximize account penetration by delivering HVAC system solutions and meeting sales budgets. The role requires travel to customer sites, collaboration with internal teams, and hands-on involvement from initial consultation to post-sales support.

A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in related fields are preferred, with a valid Australian work visa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Minimum three (2) years experience in Account Management, Mechanical Contracting/HVAC or Facilities Management fields would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid Australian working visa.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support of assigned Sales managers and their assigned customers with HVAC systems & equipment product selections, application, proposals and sales development.
• Achieve assigned sales and customer development quota through focus on applied products customer acquisition and development
• Capable of using selections and pricing software/programs related to the equipment sales
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure seamless project execution, from initial consultation to post-sales support.
• Process and coordinate orders to the relevant factories till delivery and assist Service team with handover and after sales queries related to the equipment sales.
• Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms.
• Actively participate in training programs, industry events and company webinars and meetings to enhance your sales skills & technical knowledge of HVAC systems.
