Little Lofty Cafe in Melbourne's Wonga Park is seeking a part-time cafe cook to join our friendly kitchen team.

You’ll start at 6:15 AM, help prep and cook our breakfast and lunch items, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and contribute to a calm, efficient morning rush.

Qualifications

• Experience as a short-order cafe cook or kitchen hand is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced breakfast and lunch environment.
• Basic food safety knowledge and hygiene practices.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook core breakfast and lunch items (eggs, bacon, toasties, burgers, specials).
• Set up the kitchen line for a smooth 6:15 AM start.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen compliant with basic food safety standards.
• Manage morning prep and close down the kitchen at end of shift.

• Type:Part‑Time
• Hours:6:15 AM to 2:30 PM(8.25 hours per shift)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing and cooking our core breakfast and lunch menu (eggs, bacon, toasties, burgers, and fresh specials).
• Setting up the kitchen line for a smooth 6:15 AM start.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with basic food safety standards.
• Managing morning prep and closing down the kitchen at the end of the shift.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience:Previous experience as a short‑order cook, cafe cook, or kitchen hand looking to step up.
• Speed & Reliability:You can handle the breakfast and lunch rush with a cool head and a sense of urgency.
• Punctuality:You are a morning person who can reliably commit to a 6:15 AM start.
• Team Player:A positive attitude and great communication skills.
• Food Safety:Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices (Food Handlers certificate required)
