Job summary

sixtyone.surfers in Surfers Paradise is hiring a part-time/casual cook to join our small kiosk cafe team. The role focuses on simple, fresh breakfast and lunch options, with shifts from 7:00am to 5:00pm and flexible scheduling in a busy café environment.

You'll prep food and ingredients, cook meals to order, and maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen while ensuring excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking qualifications and food safety knowledge.
• Previous experience in a busy cafe or restaurant environment.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Positive attitude and strong attention to cleanliness.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and takes pride in the food they serve.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about creating great customer experiences.
• Some training will be provided, but previous commercial kitchen or cafe experience is essential.
