Blacktown Workers Club Group in Luddenham is seeking an enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team. Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will prepare and present high-quality dishes while upholding food safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting.

This part-time role (minimum 8 hours, up to 37 hours per week) offers an opportunity to work Wednesday to Sunday including evenings, weekends, and some public holidays. Own transport is essential; rosters are arrangements with the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen (desirable 1 year).
• Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable or working towards).
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will be working with the wider kitchen team , ensuring food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard while maintaining food safety, cleanliness and efficient kitchen operations. Part time role working min 8 hours a week upto 37 hours a week).
