Workers Hubertus located next to the new Western Sydney International Airport in Luddenham is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. This role offers part-time hours with a minimum of 8 hours per week and up to 37 hours, in a busy hospitality environment for our members and guests.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen (desirable).
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards (desirable).
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Roster days Wednesday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends and some public holidays (up to 37 hours).
• Own transport essential.

Responsabilités

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Chef de Partie, you will be working with the wider kitchen team, ensuring food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard while maintaining food safety, cleanliness and efficient kitchen operations. Part time role working min 8 hours a week up to 37 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with the Sous Chef and kitchen team to achieve service and operational objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Cook in a similar professional kitchen role (desirable 1 years experience)
• Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable or working towards)
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.
• Able to work a roster days between Wednesday to Sunday including days, evenings, weekends and some public holidays as required (max 37 hours per week)
• Own transport (essential)
