Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Cook to join our team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. You will prepare and present high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and contribute to efficient kitchen operations.

The role offers flexible shifts, opportunities to work across world-class events, training and development, and employee discounts; onboarding includes Food Safety and WHS compliance.

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Cook to join our team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

What you will do?

• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
• Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation
• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
• Conduct temperature and quality checks and effectively manage cross-contamination

More about you

• Solid background in kitchen operations, previous experience as a Cook is required
• Minimum Level 3 Commercial Cookery, or currently undertaking
• Willingness to learn under guidance from our chefs
• Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
• Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain at onboarding
