Job summary

Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a casual Cook to join the team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. The role focuses on preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while supporting overall kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to a fast-paced culinary team within a renowned hospitality group. Flexible shifts and opportunities to work across world-class events are offered.

Qualifications

• Solid background in kitchen operations and prior Cook experience.
• Minimum Level 3 Commercial Cookery qualification or currently undertaking.
• Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain at onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards.
• Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation.
• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
• Ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards.
• Conduct temperature and quality checks and effectively manage cross-contamination.

What will you do?

More About You

• Solid background in kitchen operations, previous experience as a Cook is required
• Minimum Level 3 Commercial Cookery, or currently undertaking
• Willingness to learn under guidance from our chefs
• Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
• Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain at onboarding
