Arcare Clyde is seeking a Cook for a permanent part-time role, Saturday to Monday, 0700-1500. Pay starts at a minimum of 33.87 per hour in Victoria, with above-award rates and a range of employee discounts and development opportunities.

The role emphasizes preparing appetizing, nutritious meals that support residents’ well-being and dining enjoyment, within a supportive team environment and compliant kitchen practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is required.
• Experience in friendly, resident-centered kitchen service is beneficial.
• Excellent hygiene and safety practices are expected.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals according to Head Chef menus, ensuring nutrition and appeal for residents.
• Accommodate special diets and texture-modified needs as required.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Monitor ingredient quality and portion sizes to meet high standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
• Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
