Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to residents and support the Chef in meal preparation. This role is essential for nutritious, well-presented meals in our Calare heritage-listed home, a warm residential environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) and have at least 1 year in a commercial kitchen, with bulk cooking experience and knowledge of texture-modified meals being highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher is required.
• Minimum 1 year in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital preferred).
• Bulk cooking experience is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with residents, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team.
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents.
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control.
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards.
