Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to residents at Heritage Lodge in Murwillumbah, NSW. The role supports the Chef, ensuring nutritious meals and proper kitchen operations in a 103-bed residential aged care facility.

Permanent full-time role with a guaranteed minimum earnings of AU$79,423+ per year, plus superannuation and not-for-profit benefits. Experience in aged care or hospital kitchens is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher.
• A minimum of one year's experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital experience preferred).
• Bulk cooking experience (highly desirable).
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team.
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents.
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control.
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to our residents while providing kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef. This role is essential in ensuring nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the diverse needs of Residents in our care.

The positions are permanent, full time with a minimum of 38 hours a week with guaranteed minimum earnings (inclusive of allowances and penalties) no less than $79,423 per annum plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control
