Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services for residents at our Sandbrook facility on the Gold Coast. The role involves supporting the Chef, preparing nutritious meals, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

The position is permanent and full-time with a guaranteed minimum earnings of $79,499 per annum plus superannuation, with opportunities for career development and a supportive, not-for-profit workplace.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher.
• Minimum of one year's experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital preferred).
• Bulk cooking experience is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team.
• Plan, prepare, and present nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents.
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control.
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to our residents while providing kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef. This role is essential in ensuring nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the diverse needs of Residents in our care.

The positions are permanent, full time with a minimum of 38 hours a week with guaranteed minimum earnings (inclusive of allowances and penalties) no less than $79,499 per annum plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards

About You

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
