Job Description

Cook Fire Bean Pty ltd (Trading As Café Claremont) – Malvern, VIC 3144 We are a fast-paced, modern, seven-day café located in Malvern, within walking distance of the train station. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cook to be part of our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes according to our café menu.
• Assist Head Chef in food preparation of customer service as well as day to day prep
• Check ingredient quality and maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Prepare food to accommodate customers’ dietary requirements.
• Store food correctly and monitor stock levels.
• Assist with ordering ingredients and minimising food waste.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene requirements.

Skills and experience:

• Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working as a cook in a café or commercial kitchen.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends.
