Fire Bean Pty ltd (Trading As Café Claremont) in Malvern, VIC 3144 is seeking a highly skilled Cook for a full-time role in a fast-paced café. Responsibilities include cooking to the menu, assisting the Head Chef, ensuring food quality, and managing prep and stock.

Candidates should have café/kitchen experience and strong food safety knowledge. The role offers a competitive salary of AU$79,500–AU$80,000 per year plus super, with a 38–40 hour weekly roster from Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Commercial cookery qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience in café or commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling.
• Able to work busy service periods.
• Weekend roster availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to the café menu.
• Assist Head Chef with food preparation and day-to-day prep.
• Check ingredient quality and maintain presentation and portion sizes.
• Prepare food to accommodate dietary requirements.
• Store food correctly and monitor stock levels.
• Assist with ordering ingredients and minimise food waste.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety requirements.
