Job summary

Lucente Hospitality is seeking a Cook to join our Broadbeach or Southport venues in Queensland. The role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes in line with our menu, recipes, and high standards, while upholding food safety regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III/IV in culinary arts, has around three years of relevant experience, and demonstrates strong time management, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with our menu and standards.

We are looking for a Cook to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and restaurant standards, while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Broadbeach or Southport, QLD.

Main tasks:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with our menu and quality standards
• Assist with menu updates by contributing ideas for seasonal dishes and improvements
• Ensure consistent presentation, portioning, and taste across all meals
• Prepare ingredients efficiently, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to deliver high-quality dishes every time
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in line with food safety regulations
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and report any issues
• Assist with stock control, including receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and minimising waste
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
• Follow directions from senior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Minimum of relevant Certificate III/IV.
• 3 years’ relevant work experience.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong food preparation and cooking skills with a focus on consistency and following established recipes.
• Solid understanding of various cooking methods (e.g., grilling, sauteing, roasting) and station maintenance.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities.

Annual salary will be between $79,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
