Job summary

INPEX is seeking a Contracts Advisor to join the Contracts and Procurement team in Perth, supporting IT/Technology and Corporate divisions. The role will manage end-to-end contracting, from drafting tender documents to post-award administration and vendor relationship management.

Successful candidates will have IT contract experience, CIPS qualification or equivalent, and familiarity with SAP S/4 and contract management systems such as Ariba or Procon.

We are seeking a Contracts Advisor to join the INPEX Contracts and Procurement team supporting the IT/Technology and Corporate divisions in Perth. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertake the development, compilation and execution of Invitation to Tender, including preparation of contracts documentation (Instrument of Agreement, terms, Exhibits).
• Coordinate contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance and legal aspects with relevant internal stakeholders as needed, including supporting Stakeholders in the development of their Scopes of Work.
• Perform commercial and contractual evaluation of Tenders and coordinate technical evaluation.
• Prepare and undertake Contract award approvals in accordance with the Contracting Procedures and Joint Operating Agreement (JOA).
• Finalise award and subsequent management of Contracts.
• Ensure Contract Variations are identified early and advised to the Contract Owner.
• Perform post-award contract administration and manage ongoing contract hygiene and enquiries, including uploading changes and amendments, reporting on ceiling breaches, SAP Service Masters, purchase orders and contracts.
• Provide contract/procurement advice to INPEX personnel.
• Support the business in Contract performance management.
• Provide transactional contracting support for sourcing events for assigned category when and if required.

Successful candidates will:

• Have experience in negotiating, executing and managing contracts (including on vendor terms). Ideally, in the IT space for a range of both enterprise and operations software (on Prem, Cloud, SaaS, resellers), infrastructure, and/or associated services (support, implementation, outsourcing plus others).
• Be a collaborative team player who demonstrates curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrates strong listening and communication skills and engages broadly within own team and with operational stakeholders.
• Hold a CIPS qualification (or equivalent) in procurement and supply chain management; or demonstrable relevant experience in contracts and category management.
• Has a good understanding of SAP (ideally S/4) and Contract Management System (such as Ariba, Procon, or similar) including managing end-to-end sourcing projects and post-award contract administration and ongoing contract hygiene.

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
