Job summary

Civmec is seeking Contract Administrators and Quantity Surveyors to join our multidisciplinary team on major civil, SMP and mining projects across Australia. Roles include commercial management, cost control, and contract administration with a focus on protecting project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desired.
• Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a role as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor.
• Previous experience within the construction industry is essential.
• On-site construction experience for mining projects is desirable.
• Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of commercial management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of vendor packages, including management of variations, EOT and daywork claims and record keeping.
• Perform cost control and reporting duties for end of month reporting and client reports.
• Attend weekly subcontractor and client meetings, representing Civmec's commercial interests as required.
• Assist in contractual communications to clients, including notices of delay, extensions of time etc.
• Provide support to the project team in the preparation of relevant notices within designated timeframes.
• Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract.
• Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal.
• Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions payment claims; and
• Maintain company standards of documentation and records for Quality Assurance purposes.
