Job summary

Civmec is inviting applications for a Senior Commercial Manager to drive the commercial function on a major project. You will lead contract administration, strategy, procurement, and risk management while guiding a high‑performing commercial team.

You will provide authoritative commercial leadership across project lifecycle, ensuring entitlements, forecasts and reporting are robust, accurate and timely. This role offers FIFO or Henderson‑based arrangements within a dynamic engineering

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in law, quantity surveying, engineering, construction management or related.
• 10+ years in senior commercial leadership on major construction projects.
• Experience leading teams of five+ people and driving standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead head contract administration and compliance, including notices and claims.
• Drive the commercial strategy, variations, and closeout of extensions of time.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
• Provide practical contractual guidance to the project team and risk management.
• Oversee cost control, forecasts, and cashflow reporting.
• Establish governance and reporting for variations and commercial actions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the project commercial team.
