Job summary

RAC in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a dedicated Leave Audit Project on a full-time contract for about six months. You will conduct detailed leave audits, validate payroll data and ensure compliance with Australian legislation.

You will collaborate with Payroll, HR and Finance, prepare audit reports, and implement corrective actions. Experience with ADP or Workday is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing payroll and leave audits in medium to large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and leave entitlements.
• Experience interpreting Awards, EAs and employment contracts.
• Excellent data analysis and Excel skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed audits of leave balances, accruals and transactions.
• Review and reconcile annual, personal/carers, long service and other leave entitlements.
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
• Validate payroll data against contracts, awards and policies.
• Prepare audit reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HR and Finance to verify information.
• Support remediation activities and ensure audit outcomes are implemented.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails in the project records.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements and internal governance.
