Randstad is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a six-month contract within a government team in Western Australia. You will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, processing time sheets and maintaining payroll data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, payroll, or auditing within large, complex organisations.
• Strong Excel skills and data handling capabilities.
• Highly accurate with the ability to perform high-volume tasks.
• Experience conducting audits, reconciliations, or complex leave processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage time sheets, salary variations, and allowances.
• Process commencements, terminations, leave bookings, and deductions.
• Ensure entries comply with relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Maintain confidential personnel files in line with government legislation.
• Act as payroll contact and escalate complex issues to Senior Payroll Officers.
