Peak Services in Cairns region is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator for a 2-year fixed term contract with potential for extension. Immediate start available, reporting to the Manager, People and Wellbeing, and supervising the People and Wellbeing Officer to ensure a respectful, productive, and inclusive workplace.

Qualified candidates with HR credentials or substantial HR experience, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders will thrive

Qualifications

• HR qualifications or substantial demonstrable HR experience.
• Calm, pragmatic, hands-on and values-based approach.
• Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in local government environment preferred.

• Audit salaries and review compensation structures.
• Develop recruitment procedures and policies.
• Deliver training modules for new HR policies and procedures.
• Supervise the People and Wellbeing function and support staff.
