Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Contract Delivery Specialist to support proposals, evaluate and negotiate contracts to drive efficiencies across suppliers for the annual Approved Works Program.

The role involves contract implementation, administration, and monitoring to ensure compliance with the Contract Management Framework while delivering safe, cost-effective outcomes across the network in Perth CBD.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce or relevant and demonstrated extensive industry experience.
  • Sound knowledge and proven understanding of contract management principles with solid contract management experience.
  • Ability to show guidance, communicate effectively, have good interpersonal skills, complemented by influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Ability to implement change and innovation, internally and via contract arrangements.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment.
  • Ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contract issues around HSE, materials and performance with Suppliers to facilitate smooth delivery of the work program.
  • Administer third-party and outsourcing agreements in line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework.
  • Ensure that work completed is validated in accordance to the contract conditions and requirements.
  • Manage the sourcing process for established Deeds, review documentation and ensure all requirements are captured and updated in the system.
  • Manage workforce – Manage administration requirements to ensure the Suppliers work force is appropriately accredited to perform assigned functions.
  • Provide performance monitoring – Facilitate, under the guidance of the relevant formal leader, monthly performance and delivery meetings with Suppliers on performance against the contracts.
  • Ensuring the services provided are consistent with commercially competitive standards for safety, quality, service delivery, and cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to, and support the safety, health, environmental & community programs.

Job description

Contract Delivery Specialist – 10 Month Max Term Contract – Perth CBD

The Contract Delivery Specialist is responsible for supporting the preparation of proposals, evaluation and negotiation of contracts in order to drive efficiencies and improvements across a supplier base to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the annual Approved Works Program (AWP) or other relevant programs of work.

This position also participates in contract implementation activities following award, and ongoing contract administration which defines, implements and monitors interface procedures in line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework

Your Role in Action
