Job summary

Hume City Council is seeking a Resource Recovery Education Officer to implement waste and resource recovery programs through education, engagement and behaviour change initiatives that raise community awareness and participation, reduce contamination and improve outcomes.

In this role you’ll coordinate education sessions (face-to-face and online), promote council targets and services, build cross-department relationships, and develop monitoring and reporting to demonstrate results.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing an annual community education and engagement plan.
• Coordinate bookings, promotion and delivery of education sessions (face-to-face and online).
• Support promotion of Council’s waste targets, programs and policies.
• Identify cross-Council opportunities to promote education programs.
• Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan to measure success.
• Undertake data entry, analysis and reporting to improve outcomes.
