Job summary

Seek is seeking a Contract Administrator to support multiple projects in Canberra under the supervision of the Director and Senior Project Manager. You will liaise with clients, architects, consultants and subcontractors to effectively manage contract documentation and progress.

The role offers a potential path to Project Manager with strong performance. A construction background and readiness to learn are essential, with a white card and own transport required.

Qualifications

• Second year or higher in Building and Construction Management.
• Or completed Cert IV or Diploma in Project Management.
• Reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Industry knowledge for negotiating with trades and subcontractors.
• Understand claim procedures and assessments.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Construction Induction White Card.
• Driver's license and own transport.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook and Excel).
• Professional communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing contract drawings vs construction drawings.
• Processing RFIs, EOTs and contract modifications.
• Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including defining scope and conditions.
• Preparation and administration of trade contracts and purchase orders.
• Administration of progress claims from subcontractors and to client.
• Tracking progress of works.
• Implementation of QES procedures and standards.
• Upkeep of contracts records and filing systems.
