Job summary

Morson Edge in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join a well-established construction team delivering commercial and high-rise projects.

You will report to the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, manage procurement through final account, oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation of subcontract agreements, progress claims, and cost reporting, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a contract administration or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret and apply complex contractual terms.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving contractual issues.
• Proficient in contract administration software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Construction Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the successful financial and contractual management of major construction projects from procurement through to final account.
• Working closely with site and project teams, you will ensure strong commercial outcomes while maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Management of subcontractor procurement and tendering processes
• Preparation, negotiation and administration of subcontract agreements
• Assessment and processing of progress claims and payment schedules
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
