Job summary

NEX Building Group is seeking a Construction Training Manager to lead onboarding, inductions, and ongoing technical training for our construction employees at the Norwest site with travel to NSW regional branches. You will partner with construction managers and HR to design effective induction training and close skill gaps.

Reporting to the Organisational Development Manager, you will deliver multi-modal training, mentor early career talent, and drive continuous improvement of our training

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical construction and safety training.
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment required.
• Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with people at all levels.
• Strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures.
• Driver’s license required.
• Willingness to learn new technology and work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and deliver onboarding and induction programs for construction employees.
• Coordinate training room and site-based learning; ensure e-learning modules are completed.
• Collaborate with construction managers and HR to plan relevant induction training.
• Identify skill gaps and address them with multi-modal training.
• Oversee structured inductions and policy adherence.
• Deliver training using a blended approach (virtual, online, in-person).
• Mentor early career talent and map career development plans.
• Support continuous improvement of technical training and onboarding experiences.
