Job summary

Renovations North Queensland is seeking a Construction Supervisor in Townsville to lead a team of trades, apprentices, and subcontractors on residential renovations and refurbishments. You will oversee day-to-day projects, manage scheduling, costing, and client communications to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a trade qualification (preferably Carpentry), supervisory experience, and familiarity with renovation projects. A Construction White Card and a strong work ethic are essential.

Construction Supervisor - Renovations & Refurbishments

Renovations North Queensland – Townsville QLD

Renovations North Queensland is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our Townsville team. You’ll work with our team of trades and apprentices, and trusted local subcontractors.

The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day renovations, refurbishment and maintenance projects completed by our team. Our projects include residential renovations, retirement-living refurbishments, property upgrades and general building repairs.

This role would suit a motivated and energetic trade qualified carpenter with some supervisory and costing experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaising with our customers regarding new, in progress and completed projects

Managing our quoting queue for renovation, refurbishment and maintenance projects

Planning and overseeing the schedule including internal labour and coordination of subcontractors

Placing materials orders to ensure necessary stock levels

Managing workflow to ensure on time completion for maximum customer satisfaction

Quality inspections to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard

Updating current jobs with progressive costing to ensure profitability

Customer invoicing

Review time sheets, approve leave requests and liaise with office team for payroll enquiries

Team performance management as required

Review subcontractor invoicing

Liaise with office team to ensure timely subcontractor and payments

Leading the team with respect to workplace health and safety

Ensuring sensible and efficient use of company resources

WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Recognised Trade qualification – preferably Carpentry

Supervisory experience with small teams

Relevant residential renovation or maintenance experience

Experience quoting projects, managing costs and customer billing

Experience ordering materials

A Construction White Card

Good practical problem-solving ability

Strong attention to detail

A strong work ethic and positive attitude

Experience working in occupied homes, retirement-living environments or property maintenance would be well regarded.
