Job summary

Nice Builds is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to oversee housing projects across Northside and Southside Queensland. This full-time role focuses on on-site leadership, safety, and timely delivery of turnkey home packages.

You will work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors and clients, mentoring site staff and ensuring high-quality workmanship while maintaining OH&S standards on a busy residential site network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor in residential construction.
• Trade background in carpentry or building is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites across Queensland.
• Strong understanding of residential build sequencing and site management.
• Ability to interpret building plans, engineers’ reports and specifications.
• Leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction from start to handover on residential projects.
• Interpret plans and specifications to meet codes and client expectations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site staff to ensure productivity and quality.
• Maintain build programs and report progress to Project Management.

Job description

Nice Builds is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to join our growing Brisbane-based construction company, delivering housing projects across both the Northside and Southside of Queensland.

This is a full-time role to oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely delivery of our turnkey home packages. You’ll work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and client representatives, acting as the primary on-site leader and mentor to your site team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to handover across residential projects
• Interpret construction plans and specifications; ensure work meets building codes, internal standards and client expectations
• Coordinate and lead subcontractors, trades, and site staff to maintain productivity and high-quality finishes
• Maintain build programs and schedule, and report progress to Project Management
• Enforce OH&S and housekeeping standards; ensure a safe, professional worksite
• Collaborate with the project team and operations to support continual improvement

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor in residential construction or a similar role
• Proven trade background in carpentry or building is a strong advantage
• Valid driver’s licence; ability to travel to build sites across Queensland
• Strong understanding of residential build sequencing, quality control, and site management processes
• Sound ability to interpret building plans, engineers’ reports and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Hands-on, proactive, physically fit and safety-focused
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
