Job summary

AHO Renovations is a Brisbane-based residential renovation specialist focusing on kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and full-home reconfigurations. The Working Construction Supervisor will balance hands-on carpentry with site leadership and daily coordination across projects.

You will set out work, supervise trades, plan labour and materials, and ensure safety and quality on site while mentoring junior carpenters and maintaining thorough site records for handover.

Qualifications

• QBCC Builder License highly desirable.
• Substantial residential supervision experience considered.
• Hands-on carpentry and renovation experience required.
• Willingness to work on the tools when needed.
• Knowledge of renovation set-out, sequencing and problem-solving.
• Ability to lead people without micromanaging.
• Clear communication with homeowners, trades and suppliers.
• Strong organisational skills and ownership.
• Familiarity with digital reporting and site-photo records.

Working Construction Supervisor / Licensed Builder

You will share your time between hands-on carpentry, site leadership and the day-to-day coordination of residential renovation projects. The balance will change with project requirements, so you must be comfortable stepping onto the tools without losing control of programme, quality, trades or communication.

Key responsibilities

Carry out and lead hands-on carpentry and renovation work

Set out work and resolve practical site issues

Supervise and coordinate employees, subcontractors and suppliers

Plan upcoming work, labour, materials and trade sequencing

Complete quality-control inspections and rectify issues early

About you

A QBCC Builder License is highly desirable

Candidates with substantial residential supervision experience who are actively working towards a QBCC Builder License may be considered

Strong hands-on carpentry and residential renovation experience

Recent willingness and ability to work productively on the tools

Sound knowledge of renovation set-out, sequencing and problem-solving

Ability to lead people without standing over them

Professional communication with homeowners, trades and suppliers

Strong organisation, ownership and follow-through

Confidence using digital programmes, photographs and site-reporting systems
