Job summary

Pilgrim Homes, a Brisbane-based custom luxury home builder, seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead multiple high-end projects across inner Brisbane suburbs. The role involves overseeing 4–5 sites from pre-start to handover, coordinating trades, and ensuring quality and safety standards while working with the Construction Manager and office team.

You will be meticulous, proactive and commercially aware, with strong communication skills to liaise with clients, trades and staff.

• Proven supervising experience in custom residential construction.

• Ability to manage multiple high-end homes concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Manage 4–5 high-end custom homes simultaneously from pre-start to handover.
• Plan and coordinate site activities; ensure trades and suppliers are booked; keep Buildertrend up to date.
• Identify and resolve construction issues, variations, defects and delays before they impact the program.
• Manage subcontractor performance including quality, attendance and programming via QA checks.
• Ensure works meet plans, specs, engineering requirements and Australian Standards.

Pilgrim is a Brisbane based custom home builder specialising in luxury homes. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team to assist with our growing pipeline of work. Office based in Mount Gravatt, with jobs sites around inner suburbs of Brisbane, predominately Camp Hill and surrounds. Supervise 4-5 custom homes at a time.

The Person We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who takes genuine ownership of their sites and understands that building a luxury home is about more than simply getting trades through the gate.

You will be organised, proactive and commercially aware, with the ability to identify issues early and find practical solutions before they become bigger problems.

You will have strong attention to detail and take pride in delivering a high-quality finished product. You’ll also be comfortable communicating with clients, trades and the internal team and be confident holding subcontractors accountable to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 4–5 high-end custom homes simultaneously, taking ownership of each site from pre-start through to practical completion and handover.
• Plan and coordinate site activities, ensuring trades and suppliers are booked ahead and site sequencing is maintained. Schedule is to be kept up to date in Builder trend.
• Identify and resolve construction issues, variations, defects and delays before they impact the program.
• Manage subcontractor performance, including quality, workmanship, attendance and programming. Managing this through QA checks.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, engineering requirements and relevant Australian Standards/building requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organised site, including WHS compliance, site inductions where required, SWMS and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with the Construction Manager, consultants, ops team and trades to keep projects moving.
• Review plans and documentation and identify design, coordination or constructability issues before they become problems.
• Manage the final stages of construction, including defects, client walkthroughs, practical completion and handover.

Requirements

• Trade qualification will be highly regarded
• Proven supervising experience in custom residential construction
• Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills
• Applicants must be based in QLD, Australia
