Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery across multiple commercial/industrial projects in Queensland. You will mentor Project Managers and Site Managers, oversee programmes and budgets, and drive safety, quality and client relationships.

You will work closely with the Company Director, manage complex challenges and ensure on-time handovers with strong commercial outcomes. Brisbane-based with regular site travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or senior project manager capable of stepping up.
• Strong track record delivering commercial/industrial projects across multiple sites.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects, set priorities and hold teams accountable.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, programming, cost control and subcontractor management.
• Understanding of safety, quality and compliance requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting directly to the Company Director, you will oversee construction delivery across multiple projects, leading and supporting Project Managers and Site Managers to achieve programme, budget, safety and quality objectives.

You will combine oversight with practical construction knowledge, anticipating challenges, making sound decisions and giving your teams the direction and support they need to deliver.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring and supporting Project Managers, Site Managers and construction teams.

Overseeing construction programmes, resourcing and key delivery milestones across multiple projects.

Monitoring budgets, forecasts and project performance to protect commercial outcomes.

Identifying construction risks early and resolving design, sequencing and delivery challenges.

Driving high standards of safety, quality and site presentation.

Building productive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Working closely with the Director on project reporting, forward planning and operational improvements.

Overseeing project handovers, defect resolution and close-out.

A practical understanding of safety, quality and compliance requirements.

Clear communication, sound judgement and confidence in managing challenging conversations.

Relevant construction qualifications or a trade background supported by substantial industry experience.
