Job summary

MJM Recruit is partnering with a private construction firm to recruit an experienced Project Manager for industrial construction projects across South East Queensland, including Brisbane. Based at Eight Mile Plains, the role mixes office and site visits a couple of days per week.

You will lead project delivery with focus on programme, cost control, quality and client outcomes, liaising with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

MJM Recruit is proud to partner with a progressive, privately owned construction company with over 45 years of industry success across the commercial and industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects across Brisbane, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a high-performing team delivering industrial construction projects including large-scale business parks, warehouses and industrial fit-outs.

Based from the Eight Mile Plains office, this role offers the opportunity to work across projects located throughout South East Queensland metropolitan region including Stapylton, Coomera, Yatala and Park Ridge.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity for a driven construction professional who thrives managing projects from pre-construction through to final handover, while working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.

About The Role

Working closely with senior leadership and site teams, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of industrial construction projects with a strong focus on programme, cost control, quality and client outcomes.

This role will see you split your time between the office and visiting sites approximately twice per week.

Hours are generally 7am - 4.30pm (flexibility as required depending on project demands)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage industrial concrete construction projects from commencement through to handover
• Oversee project programming, budgeting, procurement and delivery
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and consultant teams
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety and compliance
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, variations and reporting
• Work closely with Site Managers to ensure smooth project execution
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Use systems including Procore and BuildPass for project management and reporting
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks and construction challenges

Do you have

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within industrial construction?
• Strong exposure to precast / tilt panels and concrete projects preferred ?
• Experience in medium/high-rise residential construction will also be considered
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, programmes and live construction environments
• Experience using systems such as Procore and BuildPass
• Strong understanding of contracts, variations and commercial management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously
