Job summary

Azure Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from initiation to handover. You will drive programs, control budgets, oversee procurement and contract administration, and manage risks and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Property Development or a related discipline.
• End-to-end construction lifecycle experience across multiple projects.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop project teams.
• Strong understanding of programming, procurement and commercial management.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from commencement through to completion.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving project programs, commercial outcomes, quality, safety and stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to a high standard. You’ll lead and develop the project team while proactively managing risks, opportunities and competing project priorities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead projects from construction commencement through to completion and handover
• Develop, maintain and monitor project programs, milestones and delivery priorities
• Manage project budgets, procurement, cost reporting and commercial outcomes
• Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement, negotiations and contract administration
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, opportunities and potential delays
• Ensure projects meet quality, WHS, environmental, contractual and statutory requirements
• Manage variations, extensions of time, progress claims and contractual obligations
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Lead, mentor and develop project team members, fostering accountability and high performance
• Oversee defects, commissioning, handover and project close-out
• Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned to strengthen future project delivery

About You

You’ll be an experienced construction professional who combines strong project delivery capability with commercial acumen, leadership and the ability to confidently manage multiple stakeholders.

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Property Development or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience across the end-to-end construction project lifecycle
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring project teams
• Strong understanding of construction processes, programming, procurement and commercial management
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project deadlines
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities

Highly Desirable:

• Previous experience delivering modular construction projects is highly regarded
• Experience working within a fast-paced construction or property development environment
• Strong understanding of project financials, cost reporting and forecasting
