Job summary

Fetch Recruitment Pty, on behalf of a leading national civil contractor, seeks a Construction Manager to join its Adelaide team. This role focuses on delivering major civil projects, with emphasis on residential subdivisions and land development, across South Australia.

You will oversee site operations, manage project teams and subcontractors, monitor programmes and budgets, and drive safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering background with experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, especially subdivisions or land development.
• Previous Construction Manager experience is advantageous but not essential; readiness to step up is welcomed.
• Strong technical and commercial capability with proven leadership; places emphasis on relationships and team culture.

I’m currently working with a highly regarded, family-owned national civil contractor looking to appoint a Construction Manager to join their Adelaide team.

With a major focus on residential subdivisions and land development, the business is continuing to grow and is looking for a strong construction leader to help drive project delivery across South Australia.

The Opportunity

• Lead the delivery of major civil construction projects, primarily residential subdivisions and land development.
• Oversee site operations, project teams, subcontractors, programmes, budgets and overall project performance.

• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, clients and senior leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and mentor teams, build strong relationships and promote a positive site culture.
• Play a key role in delivering a substantial pipeline of work, with the opportunity to influence project outcomes and contribute to the business’s continued growth.

About You:

• You’ll ideally come from a Civil Engineering background, with experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, particularly subdivisions, land development or bulk earthworks.
• Previous Construction Manager experience is advantageous but not essential. Keen to speak with Senior Project Managers and ambitious Project Managers ready to step up into a broader leadership position.
• You’ll bring strong technical and commercial capability, proven leadership skills and the ability to get the best out of site teams. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who values relationships, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a business where people genuinely matter.
