Job summary

Roussos Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a growing South Australian civil contractor. You will lead delivery across planning, engineering, coordination and project management activities, taking ownership of key projects and working closely with Project Managers and site teams.

You bring strong civil engineering fundamentals, proven experience in civil construction or infrastructure, and a commercial mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and project activities from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Manage project programmes and contribute to commercial performance.
• Support cost control, forecasting, variations and project reporting.
• Ensure projects meet design, specifications, quality and safety requirements.
• Drive Quality Assurance and WHS processes across project delivery.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and partners.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Work with Project Managers and take on increasing responsibility across project delivery.
• Develop the commercial and leadership capability to progress into a Project Manager.

They are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer who is ready to take on greater ownership, broaden their project management exposure and take the next step towards becoming a Project Manager.

You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and site teams, playing a key role across the technical, commercial and operational delivery of projects.

This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional engineering responsibilities and start taking genuine ownership of project outcomes.

The Role

As Senior Project Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of civil projects, working across engineering, coordination, commercial and project management activities.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading engineering and project activities from planning through to completion
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Managing project programmes and contributing to commercial performance
• Supporting cost control, forecasting, variations and project reporting
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with design, specifications, quality and safety requirements
• Driving Quality Assurance and WHS processes across project delivery
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partners
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Working closely with Project Managers and taking on increasing responsibility across project delivery
• Developing the commercial and leadership capability required to progress into Project Management
