Job summary

Local Building Recruitment in Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a circa $100m commercial development, supported by a resourced site management and project engineering team. This role will suit a Senior Project Manager looking to step up.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own the project from handover to completion, overseeing programming, procurement and contract administration, mentoring staff and building strong client/consultant relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Proven experience delivering construction projects valued above $20m.
• Experience working for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial construction head contractor.
• Strong commercial knowledge, including procurement, cost management, forecasting and contract administration.
• Experience managing both site and project delivery teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from commencement through to completion.

This opportunity will suit an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to take the next step into a Construction Manager position.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of a circa $100m development, supported by a fully resourced site management and project engineering team.

What We're Looking

To be considered, you must have:

• Experience working directly for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial construction head contractor.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from commencement through to completion.
• Strong commercial knowledge, including procurement, cost management, forecasting and contract administration.

• Strong understanding of construction programming, methodology and design coordination.

We are not looking for someone who has only recently stepped into a Project Manager position. This role requires an experienced construction professional with a proven track record of managing projects, people and commercial outcomes.
