Job summary

Local Building Recruitment in Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a circa $100m commercial development, supported by a resourced site management and project engineering team. This role will suit a Senior Project Manager looking to step up.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own the project from handover to completion, overseeing programming, procurement and contract administration, mentoring staff and building strong client/consultant relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Proven experience delivering construction projects valued above $20m.
• Experience working for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial construction head contractor.
• Strong commercial knowledge, including procurement, cost management, forecasting and contract administration.
• Experience managing both site and project delivery teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from commencement through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own full ownership of a circa $100m project.
• Lead site management and project engineering teams.
• Oversee programming, commercial performance, design, quality and safety.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor engagement and contract administration.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, cash flow and commercial reporting.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate solutions.
• Mentor and develop project staff to ensure successful delivery.
