Haste Recruitment is assisting a well-established residential builder on the Sunshine Coast, based in Maroochydore, to appoint an experienced Construction Manager. You will lead a team of 4–6 Site Supervisors, drive project delivery, maintain quality and ensure safety across multiple residential housing projects.

This role focuses on strong leadership, problem-solving and collaboration with senior management to improve construction processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager within residential housing.
• Experience using Buildertrend or a comparable residential construction scheduling program is essential.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building regulations.

About the Role

An established and highly regarded residential builder on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its team based in Maroochydore.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced residential Construction Manager who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring quality homes are delivered efficiently.

You will oversee a team of approximately 4–6 Site Supervisors responsible for residential housing projects, providing day-to-day leadership, technical guidance and operational support.
This role will suit someone confident managing multiple projects, supporting supervisors and maintaining high standards across construction delivery.

Duties

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of 4–6 residential Site Supervisors


• Oversee the delivery of multiple residential housing projects


• Monitor construction programs, budgets, quality and timelines using Buildertrend, the company's scheduling platform


• Support supervisors with daily site operations and problem-solving


• Ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with building regulations


• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays


• Maintain strong relationships with trades, suppliers and internal departments


• Monitor supervisor performance and drive accountability across the team


• Work closely with senior management to improve construction processes and efficiencies


• Ensure a consistently high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction

About You

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager within residential housing


• Experience using Buildertrend or a comparable residential construction scheduling program is essentil


• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building regulations


• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate construction teams


• Experience managing multiple residential builds simultaneously


• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills


• Commercially minded with a focus on budgets, timelines and quality


• Confident dealing with trades, subcontractors and internal stakeholders


• Relevant building qualifications and/or construction licences will be highly regarded
