Job summary

Sunstruct Project Management in Maroochydore is seeking a Site Manager / Foreman to coordinate daily on-site construction activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

The role requires hands-on site leadership, ability to read drawings, and strong planning skills. You will lead trades, maintain quality, and uphold Sunstruct’s safety standards across multiple Sunshine Coast projects.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction methodology and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
• Practical planning skills (daily plans and look-aheads).

Purpose of the Role

To coordinate and control daily on-site construction activities, so work is executed safely, efficiently, to specification and to program.

The Site Manager / Foreman is the front-line leader on site — converting drawings, programs and instructions into productive work by trades and labour.

This role is delivery-focused, not administrative or commercial

Core Accountabilities

Site Delivery & Coordination

• Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
• Implement the construction program and short-term look-ahead plans
• Ensure works are sequenced correctly to avoid clashes, delays and rework
• Coordinate site logistics including deliveries, cranage, access and storage
• Work closely with C.A to coordinate all necessary correspondence.

Quality Control

• Ensure work is constructed strictly in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, scopes and relevant building codes and standards
• Conduct regular quality inspections and identify any trade non-conformances early
• Ensure rectification works are completed promptly and correctly
• Protect Sunstruct’s reputation through consistent build quality

Safety & Environmental Management

• Enforce Sunstruct WHS systems, SWMS and site rules
• Lead by example in safety, behaviour and site discipline
• Identify hazards early and implement controls
• Maintain a clean, orderly and compliant site environment

Trade & Labour Leadership

• Provide clear daily direction to subcontractors and labour
• Monitor productivity and workmanship
• Address underperformance or non‑compliance promptly and professionally
• Maintain a respectful, productive site culture
