The successful candidate will have a current licence, proven machine operation experience, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards, with good communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current and valid operator’s licence relevant to the type of machinery you will be operating.
• Proven experience operating plant and machinery in construction or related industries.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of plant and machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow construction plans, drawings and instructions to position machinery and materials accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify faults.
• Maintain records of equipment hours, fuel consumption and maintenance activities.
• Communicate with site supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and site policies.
• Report accidents or hazards to management.
